The Hurricane has always been a popular subject for many modelers. There is currently only the one kit in 1/24 Scale, the Airfix kit which is in my view very good.
This sheet from Techmod in Poland features aircraft from the famous 303 (Polish) Squadron RAF. These pilots fought on in England for the RAF after Poland had fallen.
First Aircraft is V6665 coded RF-J, this aircraft was flown by Flt Lt JA Kent from RAF Northolt in September 1940. This aircraft features a Red fuselage band, however this is not included in the decals and the modeler will have to paint it on.
The second aircraft is V6684 coded RF-F, this aircraft was flown by Sqdn Ldr Witold Urbanowicz, also ar RAF Northolt, in September 1940.
While the sheet supplies code letters for both aircraft, given the size at this scale only one set of National markings and Aircraft stencils is included.
On examination the sheet is of very good quality, this is the first set of Techmod decals I have seen. The carrier film is a minimal as it could be and the decals are thin. All appear to be in register.
The instructions are also first rate. In addition to the main front sheet there is another double sided A4 sized page which shows all the decals placements in full colour.
The airfix kit has been crying out for a set of aftermarket decals for ages, I would recommend these to anyone who does not want to risk the kit decals.
