Set A for Airfix model Set B for Hasegawa model color instructions with real aircraft details pictures |
This set is dedicated to the Hasegawa model and is composed more than 300 photo etched parts and a transparent clear film for the dashboard. This will allow you improving the cockpit, the turrets, the front bomber area and the entire flaps zone. Some pieces are very small and will have to be detached with caution, and to bend them, an etch mate tool will be welcome (I use one, fantastic!). The notice is clear and specifies as for the pieces to add and their exact location. The cockpit will include the complete dashboard with its hand-levers, the seat, the flying control yoke, the navigator post (with table, rule, compasses, …), the Direction Finder loop under the perpex roof. The turrets are equally revisited with the arms supporting the machine guns, and the front bomber area is covered with parts for the access entrance, floor, side, bulkhead..).The other entrance for the crew at rear on starboard side is also detailed if you open the door. Some items will be added on the gear legs and the rear tail will have some extra bits. For the fuselage, the last parts concern the antennas and the exterior frames for all plexiglas sheets. All in all, this first fret contains around 210 separate parts.
While the engines will be equipped with frontal filters, the other big fret will turn around the flaps surface with 92 pieces allowing you to reproduce completely structures, well visible; for the movables parts, down at rest, due to lack of pressure. This is a patience work, but spectacular once finished. The inside portion of the non movable aera just above is also detailed. The only “hand made” items to add from the spare box will be the actuator rods (6mm length) in plastic to secure and join the sub assemblies. In conclusion, this is a very good detail set which elevate significantly this flying RAF bomber legend. Recommended.
