Aeromaster 48-105: Reich Defense part 2

This sheet contains markings options for five Bf-109G-6 aircraft, and unless specifically mentioned, all are in RLM 74/75/76 with mottling in the upper surface colors.

The sheet suggests either the Fujimi, Hasegawa or Hobbycraft kits, but since there there have been others released that would be just as good if not better in some regards. In addition, all of these options have the standard rudder, canopy and tail wheel so leave your late war kits at home.

First up is White 5 from 7./JG 1 based in Holland during early 1944. This plane has a red fuselage band and a spinner that is 1/3 white.

Yellow 10 is from 6./JG 27 based in Germany during the fall of 1944. It has yellow on the underside of the cowling and a 1/3 white spinner as well.

The third option in brown 6 from 2./JG 300 in Germany during the summer of 1944. It has a black underside and the fuselage insignia is filled in with RLM 74.

Black 8 is from 2./JG 302 and is painted in 81/82/84 with a yellow nose ring, rudder and fuselage band. This scheme is from October 1944.

Finally, a 8./JG 1 plane from Holland in 1943. Black 7 has a very tight spiral on the spinner.

Because 109s are not usually festooned with large nose art or other flamboyant markings, the sheet has insignia for all the options. Stencils will need to come from the kit or other sources.
