Oh boy! Another Bf-109 decal sheet. This one is probably one of the first done by Aeromaster. Looking at it today, one can see that none of the markings are particularly original; some of them having been copped from various Microscale/Superscale sheets., and at least one from the now rather inaccurate William Green Book of 1971, "Augsburg Eagle", from which the sheet name was taken. I wouldn't be surprised if many of them are on later Aeromaster sheets as well!
However there are a variety of aircraft on it, all of them G models. The instructions of this 1993 sheet are the 'pre-color' variety and before the prices started to increase. It also has the 'broken' swastikas on it. Thankfully, later sheets went to full swastikas.
First is a G-2 version from 7./JG 52. It is painted in a non-standard camouflage of paints that were probably mixed locally. While the underside is RLM 76, the uppers are similar to RLM 70/71/and an odd grey green shade.
Another G-2 from II./JG 52 is in another interesting scheme. Perhaps RLM 71/72 uppers with 76 lowers. As with the above aircraft, it has Russian Front markings of yellow undercowl, wing tips, and fuselage band.
White 7 is a G-6/r-3 from 4./JG 51 in Yugoslavia around 1943. It is completely standard in RLM 74/75/76 with medium fuselage mottling.. It has a white rudder and the fuselage band overpainted in RLM 75.
The next G-6/R-2 is from III./JG 3 on home defense duties in 1944. Again, yellow 6 is in totally standard colors of RLM 74/75/76. It sports a huge comet on the forward fuselage.
This G-6 is a post war bird from HLeLv 31 of the Finnish AF. It is in Finnish colors of Black and Green over Light Blue. It has a large sharkmouth and bat marking to add some color.
Finally, another G-6 from IV./JG 27 in the Balkans circa 1943. Another perfectly normal 74/75/76 aircraft with a white fuselage band. and rudder.
Though an older sheet, it still has some interesting markings and should be considered for your next 109; if you can find the sheet!
Please note that the sheet may look a bit short as I'll often crop off common markings to save on server space.
