Here is another early Aeromaster sheet from 1993. This one covers five different Hurricanes. Probably the majority of builders will choose the Hasegawa family for these, but you also have several other less expensive options. Working back in time, there is a nice one from Hobbycraft that isn't too bad at all. Going even farther back in time we come to the Monogram IIc kit, that has recently been reissued. No real cockpit on that beastie, but the shape is good. Finally, there is the Airfix Hurricane I. It may be newer than the Monogram kit, but still is lacking in cockpit detail.

The first scheme is for a Royal Navy Sea Hurricane participating in Operation Torch. British aircraft were given US insignia to keep them from being shot down by inexperienced US gunners! Colors are standard FAA colors of Extra Dark Sea Grey and Dark Slate Grey over Sky.

Next is a Free French Hurricane IIb in the Western Desert. Colors given are Dark Green and Dark Earth over Azure, but I think it should be Middlestone in place of the Dark Green as one rarely, if ever, found Azure under the European colors and rarely found the European Scheme in Africa!

Next is a Begian Mk I in standard RAF Dark Green and Dark Earth over Silver. This is probably an early Mk I so will have the canvas covered wing in addition to the Watts two bladed prop.

This Portugese Mk IIc is a post war plane in later RAF fighter colors of Dark Green and Ocean Grey over Medium Sea Grey.

Finally a Persian (Iranian) Mk IIc used post war as a trainer and so without armament. It is in the desert colors of Dark Earth and Midstone uppers with Azure blue (or perhaps a lighter blue) underside.

All in all, five interesting schemes for your next Hurricane.
