It isn't too often that Aeromaster provides a sheet with only one aircraft on it, but in this case, the plane involved has a LOT of stuff on it. For those of you familiar with George Laven's aircraft, you will know that his are among the gaudiest to ever grace the skies. His F-104 is probably the most modeled Starfighter there ever was. I can't think of a year of contest visiting where I haven't seen at least one. This sheet is designed for the Revell F-84E and won't fit the Tamiya F-84G version. The sheet contains on a half sheet that isn't shown the needed national insignia and USAF marking as well as a few other color markings.
This particular plane was used by Col Laven when he was the CO of the 86th FBW in Germany during 1951/52. It was maintained by the 527th FBS, hence the yellow tail bumper. The white portions of the tail will have to be painted prior to installing decals there. The horizontal stabs should be left off until the fin has been decaled. The anti-glare panel is OD and should be painted prior to decal installation. As you can see, the tip tank decals are in strips to make it easier for them to conform to the compound curves. It should make for an eye-catching scheme!
