Aeromaster has been doing a 'Best Selling' series for about a year or so. This gives those who missed their early sheets an opportunity to do some of their favorite schemes. This one is for the later Ju-87 versions and though the Monogram kit is listed along with the Hasegawa versions, I'd be willing to bet that most will go for the Hasegawa kit. There are enough data markings for one plane and enough insignia for two is one chooses wisely. All are a base of RLM 70/71 over RLM 65 with yellow lower wing tips and yellow fuselage bands as was appropriate for the Russian Front.
First up is a Ju-87D-3 from the winter of 1943/44. This 2./SG 2 aircraft has white distemper sprayed in spots all over the upper surfaces.
Next is Hans Rudel's Ju-87G-2 from the summer of 1944. Some photos show this aircraft with white stripes on the tail so this must have been done later in its career.
Finally, a Hungarian Ju-87D-5 from 1943. This aircraft has a white spinner tip and is devoid of the lower wheel pants. The white bands on the decal sheet are for the white markings (of the red, white and green ones) on the fin and tail planes.
