On the premise that a few 109s are good, then more are better, here's another 109 sheet. This on is for Mediterranean 109s from JG 27. The reason for the general non-desert schemes is that by the time the G came along, these planes were based in Sicily and southern Italy and not North Africa.

Here's a rundown of what's on the sheet:

First a desert painted 109G-4 from II./JG 27. This 1943 Sicilian-based aircraft was the mount of Hptm. Gustav Rodel.

Next an E-4 from III./jg 27 also from Sicily but in 1941. Standard RLM 74/75/76 with a yellow nose, white rudder and fuselage band.

The G-6 that follows is from 7./JG 27 in Greece in early 1944. Standard Med markings but no white wing tips. One does not hear much about the Luftwaffe in the Balkans.

Red 13 is a G-6 of 11./JG 27 of Fwbl Heinrich Bartels, also in Greece; late 1943. This is most unusual with having two red bars aft of the fuselage insignia.

Finally, Red 1 of 8./JG 27 from Rhodes around Feb 1943.

Though the Hasegawa 1/72 Bf-109E or G is the kit of choice, these markings should work just as well on the Academy, Heller, Airfix or any other 1/72 109.

Please note that the sheet may look a bit short as I'll often crop off common markings to save on server space.
