This sheet from Authentic Decals covers no fewer than ten aircraft. There are full stencils for one and a very comprehensive stencil placement guide is included. Also included is a full painting guide that includes upper views as part of the markings placement guide. Paint colors are in FS 595, Humbrol, Model Master, Revell and Gunze references. No kit is specified, but there are several on the market that can be used as these are all early Fulcrum A versions.
So let's have a look at what is available. Unless noted, these are in the standard Fulcrum color schemes of greys and greenish-greys, though the patterns are not identical.
1. White 09, Ukraine AF, Ivano-Frankovsk AB, 2006
2. White 70, Ukraine AF, Vasilkov AB, 2007
3. Red 05, Belorussian AF, Machulishi AB, 2003. This has the red/green
Belorussian flag on the fin and rudder.
4 & 5. Red 29 and Red 21, Russian AF, Zernograd AB, 2006. Shark mouth with
Russian Flag rudder markings. The sharkmouth markings are slightly different on
these planes.
6. Blue 23, Russian AF, Erebuni AB, 2003. Russian Flag rudder markings
with unit markings on tail.
7 & 8. Red 29 (stencil style) and Red 33, Russian AF, Halino AB 2006. Red 29 has
a solid upper color scheme, while Red 33 has a two headed eagle marking on the
fin.
9. Blue 27, Ukraine AF, Belbek AB, 2004. This one has an eagle fin marking on
one side and a more ground attach camo scheme of greens and browns.
Decals are well printed and matte. They appear to be quite thin. The instructions include a full stencil placement guide as well as upper surface camo guide for each aircraft.
If you have the opportunity to pick up this sheet, I know you will not be disappointed.
My thanks to http://www.scale-model-kits.com, where you can get this and other fine decals and kits.
