For their second sheet, Balkan Models has chosen to do some MiG-21s with various exercise markings. These are mostly stripes or bands, though in the case of the first two subjects, it is a lightning flash on the nose. The sheet itself is superbly printed and offers enough data markings for one subject and enough insignia for two.

There are five subjects on this sheet, each one a different variant of the aircraft and so there are different kits recommended for each one.

MiG-21 PFM is in aluminum with a small flash behind the aircraft number.

This same treatment is provided to the MiG-21 R that is the next subject.

The MiG-21M has an azure blue nose and wing tips.

So does the MiG-21MF that is the next subject. Note that the nose band does not go all the way around with a gap where the pitot probe attaches.

The final aircraft is a MiG-21bis. Unlike the others, this one is in an air superiority grey and carries a white band around the rear fuselage/fin. The grey is listed as FS 36375 so should be easy to find.

The full color instructions offer a full data placement guide as well as a paint chart that lists over a half dozen paint brands, a nice touch.

I'm not sure of availability of this sheet as of yet as the Balkan Models web site at www.balkanmodels.si is not yet up and running, but it certainly is a superb sheet and one you should seriously consider.
