This sheet reduces in size the previous 1/48 sheets so that 1/72 modelers can also do these markings for commemorative aircraft from the Polish Air Force. The first MiG-29 is adorned with full color markings of the Kusciuszko squadron on the upper surface of the fuselage and also has two portraits of Wing Commander Marian Pisarek, who was killed in mid-1942 while leading the 1st Polish Fighter Wing. He was attached to 303 Squadron during the Battle of Britain and went on to 315 and 308 squadron before leading the wing. In the grey upper fuselage marking is an aircraft with portraits of F/O Nuriskaw Feric, who was killed while attached to 303 Squadron during WWII. He was with the squadron through their fighting during the Battle of Britain and into early 1942 when he met his death. Added to the sheet is a MiG-29 UB with the portraits of G/Cpt Zdzislaw Krasnodebski. This aircraft has the full color badge.

The sheet itself is superbly printed by Cartograf so you know you are getting the best. Full placement information and a background history are provided as well as a complete data placement diagram. The recommended kits are by Italeri or Airfix. Both Hasegawa's and Fujimi's are too small so they may cause issues. Zvezda also does a MiG-29 series which seem to be near copies of the Italeri kit so the decals should fit those as well.

Photos of the aircraft are available on their web site and just to whet your appetite, here is one.  One thing I noticed right off is how hard edged the camouflage scheme is. Perhaps this is one that can be masked rather than freehanded. A full camo markings guide is provided that includes the inside of both fins.
