I know many folks who will be delighted with the latest sheet from Caracal Models. Way back when, a sheet with the first option on this sheet was printed and reviewed here. I have been asked about that sheet more than most over the years. Now there is no longer any need to hunt around as we now have three great options for the Monogram 1/48 F-101B which can also be found in a Revell box.

All of these options are ANG birds and as such will have airframe in overall FS 16473 ADC Grey (now marketed by Testors as Aircraft Grey). The decals are superbly printed by Cartograf and include enough common markings, insignia, and wing walk areas for one aircraft. Of course you can do others if you have the most recent Revell boxing of this kit as the decals in there are first rate.

So the first one is the famous 'Mainiacs' aircraft from the 132 FIS, Maine ANG. The fuselage name is provided both with and without the white surround.

Next is a equally nicely done plane from the 123 FIS, Oregon ANG.

The last one is a unit that did not fly the Voodoo as long as the other two, the 116 FIS, Washington ANG.

As a side note, I know that the cover sheet has Texas on it, but trust me, it is supposed to be Maine.
