The recently released Trumpeter Mig-3 kit has brought forth this sheet from Data Decals. Data Decals is a new player in the decal game and their first release is good choice. There are five aircraft on the sheet  and if you choose your subjects wisely, you can do at least two complete aircraft from what is provided. The decals are very well printed and appear to be quite thin, a trait of many new decal makers from this part of the world. The instructions are full color and very well done. Paint references are Humbrol and the new Colourcoat line of VVS paints (see the review of these elsewhere on the site).

First aircraft is Black 12 in a winter scheme of White uppers and Light Blue undersides. It appears that the engine cowling is in a dirty white color. As is common on VVS fighters, there are no insignia on the upper wings.

Next is 'Death to the German Occupants in the Green/Black over Light Blue temperate scheme. It is possible that the black is actually a Dark Green. Fuselage stars outlined in white.

Red 02 is next and also in White over Light Blue with a bare metal cowling. The sheet offers the upper outer wing panels as Red, but there is some controversy over this and it is the general feeling that the red may actually be a green. Your choice.

White 54 is in an interesting scheme of Green and Light Brown uppers with Light Blue undersides, The upper colors have a Black or Dark Green band in between them.

Finally there is 'For Homeland' in the standard temperate scheme, but with the fin star painted out.

Overall, a fine sheet and one that you really should consider when you do your Trumpeter Mig-3.
