This sheet comes on the heels of the new Trumpeter 1/32 Ju-87B kit so it makes sense that Eagle Cals would release it in all the popular scales. This particular sheet is the 1/48 offering and provides two very interesting Stukas.

The first one is from 5./StG 2 based in North Africa during September of 1941. It is probably the most involved scheme painted on a Stuka with a standard RLM 70/71/65 scheme overpainted with Italian Tan to help blend in more with the surrounding landscape. It sports a red tipped spinner and a yellow fuselage band that goes under the fuselage insignia. The right side is conjectural as there has, so far, not surfaced any images of the right side of this aircraft, or any other with these markings.

The second option is from an unknown unit on the Eastern Front during the winter of 1941/42. It has but the yellow theater band and the upper surface has been mostly overpainted with white paint, though it is by no means a total covering. This is especially true on the side where a sharkmouth of sorts has been painted on the forward cowling.

The sheet is superbly printed by Cartograf. There are markings enough to do both aircraft  with data markings for one. The swastikas are segmented so the sheet can be sold in those countries squeamish about the marking. A proper touch is that there are additional bits of the underwing insignia to go on the dive brakes, something a few kit makers have missed.

No kit is specified, but there are excellent 1/48 Ju-87Bs done by Hasegawa and even Airfix's older kit is very nice.
