The last new sheet for the new Eduard 1/32 Bf-109E kit, Eagle Cals goes into the Battle for Britain for inspiration. These aircraft are in a variety of camo schemes, and some of them are quite recognizeable. That is the nice thing about providing markings in different scales in that you can model your favorite aircraft in the different scale. Though this is undoubtedly for the Eduard kit, I see no reason why any of these markings wouldn't go well with that Hasegawa version you have sitting in your stash. You'll have to back date it by removing the wing cannon and blister, but it should be a simple conversion.

First option is Yellow 12 of 3./JG 27 as piloted by Ernst Arnold in August of 1940. This yellow cowled aircraft  is in RLM 70/71/65 with no mottling. It has been well photographed as it was shot down and photos of it are quite common in various books.

Second is White 2. It is also in RLM 70/71/65 with very heavy mottling, a yellow cowling and rudder. This4./JG 52 plane was flown by Paul Boche during the fall of 1940 and carries a large unit crest.

Next is Yellow 10 of 6./JG 54 in the fall of 1940. This unit liked to experiment with camouflage and atop its RLM 71/02/65 scheme was painted  large sections of RLM 71 and RLM 02 in a striking pattern. This was a 'jabo' variant so carries the ETC 250 bomb rack. It was also upgraded with the later heavily framed canopy.

A similar canopy is on the last option, Black 13. This is also in RLM 71/02/65, but may also be in RLM 74/75/76. Your choice. Light mottling on the side with RLM 02. It was flown by 2./JG 77 in the Summer of 1940.

As with all EagleCals sheets, the research is superlative with references provided. The full color placement guide also includes a detailed data markings guide. There are insignia enough for at least two options and more if you include kit decals.
