The demand for WWII Luftwaffe subjects has not faded over the years, at least, not from what I see in terms of books, decals, kits, and so on. There are even companies, such as EagleEditions/Cals who have nearly nothing else in their catalogue. Well for them, this is the sheet that started it all. Much of their material came from their very good, but very expensive Green Hearts book.
First is the lone Fw-190A-8 on the sheet. This is from stab III./JG 54 around mid 1944 and has the blue Reich defense band around the aft fuselage. The individual aircraft number is quite small compared to what is the norm. Colors are RLM 74/75/76 as typical for the type at this time.
Next is a FW-190D-9 from 7./JG 26. Brown 31 is in RLM 82/83/76 with lots of mottling on the aft fuselage. It carries a rather unusual drop tank.
From 14./JG 26 is Black 8. This Dora is in RLM 82/83 with the greenish RLM 76 (sometimes referred to as RLM 84) on the underside. The only mottling is on the aft portion of the tail.
Finally, Black 1 from 14./JG 26. This is also in RLM 82/83/76 but with a yellow rudder and lower cowling. As with the other JG 26 planes, it has the black/white Reich defense band on the aft fuselage, which, as with all the RDV bands, will have to be painted on by the builder.
For kits you have the Tamiya and Dragon/Italeri kits for the 'Dora'. The A-8 was done by Otaki/Arii and Dragon/Trimaster.
