Here is a third most welcome sheet for the Hasegawa 1/32 F-86F-40 Sabre kit. Of course, to make a US Korean war era F-86, some modifications to the Hasegawa kit are going to have to be done. However, Eagle strike includes a very comprehensive 'how to' for converting this kit into various variants. The sheet itself covers two aircraft and has enough common markings to do one of the options. Not shown is a half sheet with insignia and the black borders for the wing and fuselage stripes. Some may complain about the ID stripes not being provided, but frankly, I've not seen a set of these that really work well. The borders are more than enough.
The first aircraft is 'Mig Mad Mavis' an F-86F-10 from the 39 FIS/51 FIW in early 1953. This aircraft has wing fences and the 6-3 wing.
The other option is 'Nina', the mount of the CO of the 51 FIW. This F-86E-10 is from June of 1953 and has the slatted wing.
I'm glad that someone is finally producing a series of sheets for the big Sabre as they've been needed for quite some time.
