Here is another superb sheet from FCM that covers one of my favorite aircraft, the Mirage III/V. This sheet provides options for four different aircraft in a variety of color schemes. As with the previous Mirage sheet, kits from Heller the PJ Production are the ones that are recommended. Some will require a bit of modification, especially as they all have the additional dorsal fin extensin that holds a radio antenna.
The first two options are Brazilian Mirage IIIE BRs. Both are in the air superiority scheme of a blue grey over light grey. You can do this aircraft from 1980 with tail codes or a later 1985 scheme. You also have the option of using an air refueling probe that you will need to glean from a Mirage F.1 kit.
The next scheme is a Venezuelan Mirage 5OEV. This one is in a green/tan/light grey scheme. Again you will need an air refueling probe and canards to duplicate this aircraft from 2002.
The final scheme is from 1976 and is an Egyptial Mirage 5DSE. It is in a dark green and sand over light blue scheme> Though a Mirage 5, it looks a lot more like a Mirage IIIE.
From the look of the sheet, there are enough data markings to do at least two of the options as long as you do not want to do both Brazilian aircraft.
As with other FCM sheets, this one is crisp, in perfect register, and printed by Microscale. The instruction sheet is in full color and includes an upper view in addition to the left/right profiles for those with complex color schemes. In all, a very useful decal sheet to add some uniqueness to your next 1/72 Mirage III/V build.
