Those of you who are into decals already know about FlightDecs in Canada and if you don't, I'd suggest a visit. They have been slowly venturing into producing their own line of decals and this is the second sheet. Their first was on Yugoslav AF jets. As with the previous sheet, the decals are superbly printed, appear quite opaque and are in perfect register. There are full insignia for all subjects and common data markings for them as well.
The subjects are two Mk XIIs, which are basically Mk.IIBs built in Canada with US Merlins and 10' 8" Hamilton Standard props, and a MkIIC.
First is from 135 'Bulldog' Sq, a unit established for home defense. It is in standard RAF colors, with insignia that are a bit 'brighter' than the norm. It also has the 12 gun wing. As with all Mk XIIs it has a spinner-less Hamilton Standard prop. Anyone know where to get one of these?
Next is a Mk IIC in desert camo from 213 Sq in early 1942 and operated in the defense of Alexandria.
Finally, another Mk XII from 13 Photo Recon Sq. Camo is a bit non-standard and instructions are provided for the minor mod needed to make the camera area.
As with the other Flightdec sheet, the instructions are full color, show both sides and top of the camo schemes and are just plain superb. Available direct from FlightDecs via the link below.
