Such was the demand for this particular sheet from 2001 that it has been reprinted. Not exactly the most colorful period in Canadian F-104 use, but one that has rarely been done on a sheet. This sheet covers seven different CF-104s, including one two seat CF-104D. Three of the markings options are for planes participating in TAM (Tactical Air Meet) 1980 with special markings and a 'zap' or two to go along with the large tail letter. The others are from 417 Squadron and from AETE, the Canadian Test Unit.
Since 1/32 Starfighter kits do not supply the Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) antennas, those have been supplied in resin for you. Two go on the back and the paired antenna mount is under the nose. The casting on these is quite good so should provide no problems. You do get a duplicate nose antenna mount as it is just easier to do it that way! The only kits of which I am aware in this scale are by Revell and Hasegawa.
In common with all other LE decals is an outstanding instruction sheet. This is full of hints and tips as well as providing outstanding placement information. Since these camouflaged Starfighters rarely had any fancy unit markings on them, by using LE's Standard Black Numerals sheet in the appropriate scale, nearly any then-extant CF-104 can be modeled. This sheet is also available in 1/48 and 1/72, so please visit their website at the link below for more info and to order your sheet.
