This is a reissue from the folks at Leading Edge and it is one of their more popular special schemes. Leading Edge pretty much sticks with Canadian subjects and this is one that was done on a 441 Squadron Starfighter back when the CF-104G was in service. It is a particuilarly striking scheme that is also rather easy to paint. Aside from the buff antenna areas on the back and underside of the nose, just about all of the airframe is gloss black.
Leading Edge does not specify a kit to use on this, but most will use the Hasegawa or perhaps the ESCI kit which has probably been boxed by Italeri as well. There have been other F-104s done over the years, but these would be your best choice. Since most kits do not come with the additional radar warning bulges, Leading Edge has included those in with this kit.
You should know by now that Leading Edge has the finest instruction sheets around so there will be no problem figuring out what decal goes where. In all, another superb effort and one that will really trick out your next F-104G model.
