From time to time, Leading Edge will reprint a popular sheet and often times it is updated. So it is with this sheet for the venerable C-47. This particular sheet covers two aircraft, both of them used as F-104 trainers with the Starfighter's pointed nose.
Those two planes are 12938 and 12959. 938 was later converted back to a standard nose and for a time carried the name 'Dolly's Folly' on the side. 959, 'Pinocchio', kept the pointy nose until it was retired and it is now a resident at CFB Cold Lake.
The sheet is superbly printed and quite colorful, the C-47 being one of the few planes that kept the snazzy lightning bolt cheatline when many of the others had gone grey. This set includes not only the proper serials and the yellow 'rescue' markings around the windows, but also includes a pair of extra engine cowling flashes in case they are needed.
As always, the sheet is superbly researched and with the Trumpeter and Monogram kits around on which to use this sheet, you have no excuse not to build one.
