This sheet combines two subjects that one rarely sees in a sheet. A Canadian aircraft and helicopters. The CH-146 is basically a militarized Bell 412 and an improved UH-1N. The main telling point is the four bladed prop. In an effort to reduce the number of aircraft types in service, the CH-146 has replaced the UH-1, CH-46, and OH-58 in the Canadian Air Force. It just makes sense in today's world where equipment costs are so high to do something like this.

For modelers, the kit to use in 1/72 is the Italeri CH-146, which has also been boxed by Revell AG. It is a nice, but rather fussy build that makes into a very nice model. This particular sheet covers two aircraft.

One is a 417 Squadron SAR bird in Yellow and Red. A most pleasing color combination.

The other is the 60th Anniversary aircraft of 427 Squadron from 2002. It is in overall gloss black and carries its WWII code letters on the left side.

The sheet is very nicely printed and provides enough markings to do both of these aircraft. This sheet is also available in 1/48 scale for those who prefer to work in that scale. The instruction sheet is excellent and provides not only precise data placement, but also gives color references in a number of paints and FS 595 standards.
