This particular sheet is to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the RNZAF. For the occasion back in 1987, one of the two seat TA-4Ks of 2 Sq was painted in a very nice gold color as befits a Golden Anniversary. The scheme is relatively simple and quite pleasing to the eye. Model Alliance provides all the specail markings needed including an option for one or two piece decals for the drop tanks.

Suggested kit is the Fujimi TA-4M, but I believe they mean the TA-4J. A TA-4G Hasegawa kit is mentioned, but I don't recall every seeing one of those and I'd stick with the Fujimi kit as it is much more detailed and has recently been reissued so should be easy to find.

As usual, the instructions are excellent giving all the info needed as well as a number of possible paint company options for the colors.

This sheet is available in 1/72 and 1/48 scale, the 1/72 scale being the one reviewed.
