For the second Mustang sheet in the series, we have another pair of aircraft with superb artwork. The first is Arthur Bowers' 334 FS/4 FG aircraft in the later war markings with the large red nose and red rudder. His 'Sweet Arlene' is in natural metal with no ID stripes and an OD anti-glare panel. A Black Magic mask is provided (not shown) to help with the painting of the red nose 'swoop'
Next is 'Passion Wagon' an aircraft that was flown by two pilots, Araval Roberson and Charles Weaver. It is an early P-51D without the fit fillet. It is in RAF colors of Dark Green and Medium Sea Grey on the underside. When Roberson had the plane, it had white ID bands. These had disappeared by the time Weaver got the aircraft. Since there is a lot of controversy about this aircraft, you really need to read the rather detailed historical section on it that is included with the sheet.
Again, this is a very short run sheet that, because of the delicate nose art decals, is specifically for experienced modelers. Most will choose the Hasegawa or Tamiya P-51D for this sheet though these markings can be adapted for any 1/48 P-51D.
