Starfighter Decals has produced yet another super sheet for the old Monogram or newer Sword F8F Bearcat kit. These are all F8F-1s so there will need to be some trimming on the fin and removal of cannon barrels of the Monogram kit as it is a -2 version. All of these are in overall gloss sea blue, making painting a snap. The decals themselves are in superb register and crisply printed by Cartograf.

First option is a VF-31 aircraft from 1946 prior to the red bar being added to the insignia.

Next is a VF-11a plane from 1948. Red prop spinner on this one.

Finallly, a CAG bird from CAG-13 in 1948. The plane itself was assigned to VF-13a and this was during the USS Princeton cruise.

So there you have it. Another fine sheet and a great excuse to pick up a 1/72 Bearcat next time you see one. Better yet, build the one in your stash.
