For their second big scale 109 sheet, Superscale has chosen two yellow nosed 109E-4 variants. The camo for both is RLM 71/02 over RLM 65 with a very high upper/lower camo demarcation line.
First is Black 5 of Stab II./JG 54 as operating during the Yugoslav operations in 1941. In addition to the nose, the rudder, wings tips and trailing edges of the wings (both upper and lower) are in yellow. A thin yellow fuselage band is part and parcel of the theater markings. This plane has a most unusual mottling made of RLM 71 streaks and RLM 02 blotches.
The other is the Kommandeur's plane from II./JG 27 in Greece during early 1944 (I find it hard to believe it would be operational at that late a date so have to assume it is a typo). This is Wolfgang Lippert's plane and has light mottling on the fuselage side in RLM 70 and 02. This aircraft, like the previous one, is without the nose cannon and has a rounded off spinner (which may well make it an E-7 variant.
Seems like Cartograf is now Superscales default printer and the sheet is superbly done. There are insignia and data markings for one aircraft, though two sets of swastikas are provided as many kit makers do not include them on their sheets. A great pair of options for the Eduard, Matchbox or Hasegawa 109E-4
