This is the first sheet I've seen for the new Academy 1/32 F-18D and it is a most interesting one. This is the squadron commander's plane from VMFA (AW)-242. Actually the 'AW' (which stands for All Weather) is a bit redundant as just about all tactical aircraft will fly in any kind of weather if needed. Anyway, this one is in the simplified two color scheme of FS 36320 over FS 36375. The fins on this one are black with the large bat/lightning bolt markings on the inside of the fins. The yellow also extends to the insides of the insignia, which makes for a most unusual look to things.

The sheet includes basic data and slime lights. The other myriad of stencils will have to come from the kit sheet.
