Here are a couple of F-18 Hornets that you could title 'today and yesterday' as the F-18A is all but gone from Navy fleet units. Both are in the simplified TPS of FS 36320/36375. Both have the Hasegawa kit as the prime kit, but for the C you could use the Monogram version and for the A you could use the Monogram kit or the new one by Hobby Boss.

First is the CAG bird from VFA-25 on the USS Ronald Reagan in 2006. Though not brilliantly done, there is color in the scheme to add some interest. The set also includes the black LEREX walkways.

The other is from 1994 and the USS Kitty Hawk. This VFA-27 CAG bird has no real color in it at all, making for a rather dull looking scheme. As with the previous option, the LEREX walkways and insignia are provided, but you will have to glean any stencils from the kit.

As with all Superscale sheets, the markings are well done by Microscale and work with all setting solutions.
