This is a reissue of a 1995 sheet for early Battle of Britain Bf-109E-1s. How do I know? That is the copyright date on the instruction sheet. These planes are all early Battle aircraft without the later yellow ID bits. All are marked as RLM 70/71 over RLM 65 with hard edge splinter patterns and high fuselage demarcation lines. All have black-green RLM 70 spinners.
First up is from 6./JG 26 with their stylized eagle on the nose.
Next is from II./JG 53 with a very light light RLM 71 fuselage mottle.
The final aircraft is from 6./JG 52. Like the others, it was based in France during 1940.
No recommended kit is provided, but since only Hobbycraft does/did a dedicated 109E-1 kit and Hasegawa does a conversion, those are your only real options. I should mention that I'd bet that these planed were not retrofitted with the E-4 windscreen section, but if you have the reference given, that might provide more insight into this area. Naturally, the E-1s do not have the wing cannon shown on the drawings either. The E-1 and E-3 versions were built side by side on the assembly lines and the positioning of the E-1's wing macine guns is in a slightly different location than with the E-3's cannon.
There are enough data and insignia decals to do one aircraft.
