A most welcome set of US insignia is this one for the insignia used from mid 1942 until mid 1943. It is basically the prewar insignia without the red center. Though the sheet states it is USAAF, this insignia was used by all branches. However, the instruction sheet only covers USAAF types.
There are insignia from 25 inches to 60 inches in diameter. These are for the types in service at the time which would be the P-38, P-39, P-40, P-47, P-51, B-17 and B-25. There is a caution that these were just the usual sizes and it was not at all unusual for 'non-standard' sizes to be used. Of course, you can use these on a variety of other types as well. There are placement guides for the fuselage and wings of all the types listed.
The sheet is superbly printed by Cartograf so you know you are getting the best.
These sorts of sheets do sell out rather quickly so you might want to pick yours up pretty soon. I am hoping not only for a full series of these sheets, but look forward to seeing them in 1/72 as well.
