Thanks to the recent issue of the Academy 1/48 F-4B Phantom II, I am sure we will be seeing all sorts of sheets to use on this bird. VF-84 is one of the most popular USN units in terms of decal sheets. Modelers love it due to the skull and crossbones in the fin marking. This particular plane was aboard the USS Independence in 1965.

Superscale knew a good thing when it happened so took this opportunity to reissue one of its previous sheets. In fact, this may well be the second reissue as I believe it was one of their earlier 1/48 sheets. The markings are such that they do not have to be precisely fitted to a specific kit and in fact, this sheet is listed as being for either the Academy or the older Hasegawa kit. These is one major difference between this one and the previous release, and that is the inclusion of the grey wing walk decal.

The sheet is superbly printed by Cartograf and includes full color instructions.
