Shrinking down a couple of 1/48 sheets, here is the first one for RVAH-5 Vigilantes. Though designed for the Trumpeter kit, it should work fairly well with the Airfix, Hasegawa or that horrid Revell offering. Both aircraft are in light gull grey and white and are later 156xx serial aircraft. The first plane is in the markings of the USS Ranger CAG, while the second has the shore base code of GK. By this time, the Viggie was based in Key West as I don't recall seeing these planes when I was in North Island during that time period.

Thanks to the sheet being 1/72 there are full insignia and data markings for both, including some split wing insignia if you want to fold the wings.
