This is the second 109 sheet from this batch and consists of later E models. All are in the basic RLM 74/75/76 camo scheme though I'm sure there will be some discussion as to the accuracy of these colors. Such is the nature of Luftwaffe color research!
First is the E-3 of Carl Schumacher, the Geschwaderkommodore of JG 1 in 1940. His aircraft is about as standard as you can get. No mottling, no unit colors and nothing other than the geschwader badge and kommodore fuselage markings.
Next is an E-4 of Hans von Hahn the Kommandeur of I./JG 3. his has the yellow nose and rudder typical of late Battle of Britain aircraft. The fuselage is mottled in the upper surface colors. It has a black/white spinner.
Finally there is Hannes Trautloft's E-4 while he was Kommandeur of I./JG 20 in 1940. His is also about as plain as you can get other than the black/white spinner and unit/position markings. This one has the very high fuselage camo demarcation line.
For the early E-type 109s, you have a choice of Tamiya, Hasegawa or Hobbycraft, though I don't think Hobbycraft does a 109E-3 right from the box. The sheet provides full insigia for all and enough date markings/swastikas for two.
