Techmod's first sheet on this aircraft covers the 'yellow wing' period with five very colorful aircraft. I'm sure the markings are scaled for the MPM kit, but there are several others that have been done in 1/72 over the years including Pegasus and others. The decals are all you'd expect from Techmod. They are super thin, in perfect register and brilliantly colored.
First is an SB2U-2 from VF-2 at NAS North Island in 1939. It has a yellow tail section
Next is a Marine SB2U-1 from VMF-1 based in the Virgin Islands during 1938.
Third option is an SB2U-1 from VB-3 aboard the USS Saratoga in 1938. White tail section and black cowling/bands for this plane.
From the USS Saratoga comes this SB2U-2 from VB-3 in 1941. Again, white tail section, but this time with red cowling and bands.
Finally in a yellow motif is this SB2U-1 from VB-2 aboard the USS Lexington.
The sheet provides all the wing and fuselage bands as well as the wing walk areas. There are insignia, prop tips, and data enough to do two aircraft. Also included are the proper wing gun shell ejector chutes in etched brass, a very handy painting mask, and a set of canopy masks for those of you who are a bit squeamish about masking all those frames. The instructions are superb and provide a great deal of information on the aircraft.
