This next sheet from MAW covers three aircraft from the Night Hawks. You have seen the F-18D, but this one includes an A-6E and an A-4B as well. You are pretty well limited to the Hasegawa kit for the F-18D and the Revell kit for the A-6E. The A-4B has two kits that can be used; Hobbycraft and Hasegawa, though the Hasegawa kit is the one that is recommended.
The F-18D is from Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 and has all the updates and mods including the five blade IFF antenna on the nose.
The A-6E participated in Desert Storm during 1991, though the nose markings were not applied until after the war so if doing a wartime plane, leave these off.
The A-4B is from the 1964 time frame and has multi-colored stripes in the rudder. These are supplied separately to prevent any problems with fit.
The instructions are well done and include a load-out chart. The inside of the hard paper covers includes a number of detail photos for you to use when doing your aircraft. Insignia and data are included for all as well as a sheet of 'slime lights'.
Overall a fine sheet and my thanks to MAW Decals for the review sample. You can get yours direct from the link above. Free shipping in US. International orders e-mail them at mawdecals@vfdecals.com for rates.
