NOTES:

The folks at Wolfpack Decals generally do a theme when the do their sheets and this one has to do with Precision Guided Munitions, so there are a bevy of subjects that have used those in the past. This sheet has all Vietnam War planes from both services. No need to specify kits as there are several that will fill the bill in 1/72 scale.

First is an F-4D of the 433 TFS, equipped with a Pave Knife pod and an early Laser Guided Bomb.

Next, an A-6E from VA-145 aboard the USS Ranger in 1973. It is equipped with the same pod and weapon as the earlier example.

We have two F-4Ds, from the 25 TFS out of Ubon and these are carrying the HOBOS system of guided bombs.

The Skyhawk is from VA-212 aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard and is depicted as it was on the US Navy's first Walleye mission.

The C-130A is a 'Blind Bat' equipped plane from the 347 TAW. This sensor loaded Herc was designed to locate and illuminate areas of interest, mostly NVA truck convoys and AAA sites.

Finally, an A-7E from VA-147 aboard the USS Constellation in 1971. It is also carrying a laser guided bomb.

As with the previous sheets, these are superbly printed by Fantasy Printshop and without any registration problems. You will find that the carrier film is a bit more than you may be used to, but it is easily trimmed back before use. You may have noticed an addendum marking that was added to take care of a glitch. For your weapons and pods, the Hasegawa Weapons sets would be your best choice.

The instruction sheet is outstanding, providing a history of the aircraft as well as its mission and the armament it contained. Load-out charts are provided as is a listing of available kits and accessories.

If you have not yet treated yourself to some of the best researched decals around, you should.
