NOTES:

This particular sheet covers aircraft that have achieved an air to air kill over their opponents. Of the six options, five of them are from the Vietnam War and the sixth is from Desert Storm. The instruction sheet for this set is the best in the business when it comes to background information and what may be needed to accurately depict the aircraft being modeled. In addition to the actual placement profiles, there are several additional pages of information that include a history of the type,  kits and bits for these schemes,  as well as load-out information, assuring you of the most accurate model you can have. Frankly, I know of few other decal companies that provide this wealth of information with each sheet.

First is Ted Schwartz's A-4C Skyhawk that he was flying with VA-76 in May of 1967. He has the honor of being the only American Skyhawk pilot to earn an aerial victory and did it with Zuni missiles. For whatever reason, the aircraft number (modex) is in an incorrect font, being one used by the RAF post WWII rather than the proper USN block numbers. You'll need to dig out an aftermarket numbers sheet to replace those on the nose and upper wing.

Next is a 334 FS/8TFW F-4E that earned a kill in May of 1972. This plane went on to be an F-4G and was eventually expended as a QF-4G drone in 1998.

Wish I could tell you about the VF-96 plane, but unfortunately, duplicate information was printed on the previous aircraft so nothing is available in the instructions. It isn't Cunningham's 'ace' plane so that is something nice about it.

The next F-4E was with the 34 TFS/388 TFW in May of 1972. It was crewed by William Elander and friend to modelers everywhere, Don Logan, who has become quite a well known writer. These folks were on the receiving end of a North Vietnamese missile and spent the rest of the war as a POW.

The plane that shot them down was this MiG-21 PFM flown by Ha Vinh Thanh of the 927th Fighter regiment.

Finally an F-15C from the 71st TFS/1st TFW which knocked down an Iraqi Mirage F.1C, gaining the 1st TFW's only kill of the war.

As with the previous sheets, these are superbly printed by Fantasy Printshop and without any registration problems. You will find that the carrier film is a bit more than you may be used to, but it is easily trimmed back before use. If you have not yet treated yourself to some of the best researched decals around, you should.

PS. corrections to the modex and instructions are being made available. If you bought a set that needs these, contact Wolfpak to get them.
