Wolfpak Decals had decided to do some ASW and SAR types on this sheet and I'm glad to see them. There are five aircraft on this sheet in a variety of camouflage schemes.

First up is an S-2G from VS-24 in 1974 before converting to the S-3A Viking. Typical of the time, this is in light gull grey over white, both of them gloss by this time. For kits you have the Hasegawa or Hobbycraft version. Both with need modified to the S-2G variant and there are sets available to do this.

Next, an HH-3A from HC-7 in 1975. These combat SAR units flew rather drab aircraft and this one is no exception in a very weathered Engine Grey scheme. Easy to paint, though. For kits, well Airfix and Fujimi are the only ones who do the earlier helo. This one has no spray guard and the shorter horizontal stab.

The Viking on the sheet is a retirement scheme from 2007. This VS-24 plane is overall Light Ghost Grey. Two different nose art markings are provided. You'll also have to paint the rudder red. For kits, Hasegawa and Airfix are your only options. Both are S-3A variants. The change to S-3B isn't that difficult and most should be able to do it.

From HSL-35 is this SH-2F SeaSprite, circa 1976. In overall Engine Grey, it makes for a nicely done model. As a note, most SeaSprites had the gear doors removed as they were simply a hassle. Airfix does a very nice kit and Fujimi has one as well, though I'd personally pick the Airfix version if you can find it.

Finally, an SH-3D from HS-4 while with the USS Ranger air wing in 1976. These helos were White over Light Gull Grey and were seen everywhere. The red on the rotor hub is about it for unit colors. For kits, once again Airfix and Fujimi though most will pick the Fujimi as it is a more accurate kit.

The instruction sheet for this set is the best in the business when it comes to background information and what may be needed to accurately depict the aircraft being modeled. In addition to the actual placement profiles, there are several additional pages of information that include a history of the type,  kits and update bits for these schemes,  as well as load-out information, and any changes needed to properly model the aircraft in question, assuring you of the most accurate model you can have.

As with the previous sheets, these are superbly printed by Fantasy Printshop and without any registration problems. If you have not yet treated yourself to some of the best researched decals around, you should. As a note, there is a tiny addendum sheet with this as they missed a couple of numbers.
