NOTES: |
For this next new sheet, Wolfpak Decals has again provided an excellent selection of subjects. This time there are eight options with most of them Vietnam era stuff and items one does not often see on a decal sheet.
Starting with one of the larger subjects on the sheet, we have a C-130E from the 435th MAW all done up with nose art for Desert Shield in 1990. The aircraft itself is in the Euro 1 Camouflage scheme with Roger Rabbit nose art.
Next is a MiG killer F-8E from VF-211, aboard the USS Hancock in mid 1966.
There are three markings options for B/RF-26Ks. Two of them, a B and RF-26K are in OD over ADC Grey. The third options is overall ADC Grey (FS 16473). These planes were minimally marked with only fuselage insignia and serial numbers.
Moving on to the Vietnamese UH-1B, we have the personal aircraft of Vice Air Marshall Ky, the CINC of the VNAF.
Finally, we have two B-52Es in the silver and white scheme. One is with the 17 BW at Dayton, Ohio while the other was with the 96 BW at Dyess AFB, Texas.
The instruction sheet for this set is the best in the business when it comes to background information and what may be needed to accurately depict the aircraft being modeled. In addition to the actual placement profiles, there are several additional pages of information that include a history of the type, kits and update bits for these schemes, as well as load-out information, and any changes needed to properly model the aircraft in question, assuring you of the most accurate model you can have. A listing of available kits is also included.
As with the previous sheets, these are superbly printed by Fantasy Printshop and without any registration problems. If you have not yet treated yourself to some of the best researched decals around, you should.
