The second new sheet for 2011 from Wolfpak is this one with a number of interesting, but mostly grey aircraft. Despite the cover sheet being marked 72-041, this is really 72-042. Like other Wolfpak decal sheets, there are sufficient markings to do each of the airframes shown in the markings guide, something that other sheets don't always provide.

First is a Block 30 F-16C from the 93 FS 'Makos' based at Homestead AFB in July of 2010. This is the 482 Wing boss bird with black canopy surround, black fin and black stabilators. It also extends this black to the drop tanks and ventral fins and missile rails.

Next is the squadron commander's plane from VMA-214 'Black Sheep' with its black tail and black canopy surround as the aircraft was in early 2010.

Going back in time to 1983 to the now defunct base at MCAS El Toro, we have a VMA-214 A-4M Skyhawk.

The real surprise for me on this sheet is this S-3B of VX-30 from November 2010. Though the S-3 is gone from the fleet, VX-30 has three low time S3B Vikings, with all the ASW gear removed; including MAD boom and many antennas. The aircraft is used for range patrol, and thanks to its APS 137 radar, is able to pick out even the smallest interloper in the Pacific Missile Test Range. This is in the appropriate retro paint scheme.

Finally a C-27J from what is shown as the 179 AW, though it is clearly marked as an Army plane. New kit from Italeri this year will take care of this one.

The instruction sheet for this set is the best in the business when it comes to background information and what may be needed to accurately depict the aircraft being modeled. In addition to the actual placement profiles, there are several additional pages of information that include a history of the type,  kits and update bits for these schemes,  as well as load-out information, and any changes needed to properly model the aircraft in question, assuring you of the most accurate model you can have. A listing of available kits is also included.

As with the previous sheets, these are superbly printed by Fantasy Printshop and without any registration problems. If you have not yet treated yourself to some of the best researched decals around, you should.
