This next sheet from Wolfpak Decals has another fine collection of USAF subjects in it, ranging from the early 1960s until 2008. There are seven markings options, all in 1/72 scale.

First up is an F-100C from the 127 TFS, Kansas ANG. This aircraft is in overall aluminum lacquer and seems to have the original F-100C fin. Many C model F-100s had a replacement fin as used on the D model. I find it interesting that the painters did not leave enough room for the entire state name to be used.

Next is an F-16C from the 510 FS during the Kosovo operations of 2001. This is one of the few MiG killers from that war.

The third option is an F-4D from the 417th TFS based at Holloman AFB in 1970.

The fourth and fifth options are both A-10s. The initial offering is an A-10A from the 104 FS, Maryland ANG during 2005. The other is an A-10C (basically the glass cockpit is the upgrade) from the same unit in October 2007.

A C-130H from the 109 AS, Minnesota ANG is the the next option. This plane was in the air on the east coast during 911.

Finally a C-130E, and probably one of the last in the USAF inventory, from the 29th Weapons Squadron at Little Rock AFB in 2008. Interestingly, the notes state that in terms of shape, the Airfix kit is the preferred version when modeling C-130s in this scale, though it has need of upgrades to bring it in specs.

The instruction sheet for this set is the best in the business when it comes to background information and what may be needed to accurately depict the aircraft being modeled. In addition to the actual placement profiles, there are several additional pages of information that include a history of the type,  kits and update bits for these schemes,  as well as load-out information, and any changes needed to properly model the aircraft in question, assuring you of the most accurate model you can have. A listing of available kits is also included.

As with the previous sheets, these are superbly printed by Fantasy Printshop and without any registration problems. If you have not yet treated yourself to some of the best researched decals around, you should.
