More nice modern subjects from Wolfpak Decals covering ten subjects. As is the norm for modern aircraft, one will need to break out the greys on this one It is a bit of a shame that modern planes are only shades of grey, but there it is.

The majority of subjects on this sheet are USMC and a couple of them provide alternate serials so that is why with seven illustrations, there are ten options.

A VMA-513 AV-8B+ is the first option in the 2011 scheme of FS 36118 over 35237. This one provides alternate serials for an AV-8B Night Attack version  using the same color scheme.

The TA-V8B is from VMAT-203 from 2008 and has a a lighter scheme using the same colors as the aircraft above. This aircraft also has two different serial options.

For the USAF, we have an A-10 from the 172 FS, Michigan ANG based at Battle Creek, one of those units that managed to survive the huge drawdown over the last years. Again, two serial options, one for an A-10A from 2006 and the other for an A-10C from 2007. The sheet provides a decal for the new instrument panel on the C model.

The Navy representative is an F-18C from VFA-105 back in 2004. This is a standard 'Gunslingers' line bird.

Starting with the helos, we have an AH-1W from HMLA-775 det A at Johnstown, PA. I have to assume this is a reserve unit.

A CH-153E from HMH-464 in 2008 is the next option.

Finally with a bit of orange on the tail is an HMH-465 CH-53E from 2009. Unlike most modern military aircraft, this one has additional color in the insignia, though it is a lightened shade. Note that this and the previous option have the GPS antennas on the tail boom.

The instruction sheet for this set is the best in the business when it comes to background information and what may be needed to accurately depict the aircraft being modeled. In addition to the actual placement profiles, there are several additional pages of information that include a history of the type,  kits and update bits for these schemes,  as well as load-out information, and any changes needed to properly model the aircraft in question, assuring you of the most accurate model you can have. A listing of available kits is also included.

As with the previous sheets, these are superbly printed by Fantasy Printshop and without any registration problems. If you have not yet treated yourself to some of the best researched decals around, you should.
