The Hasegawa 1/32 P-12E is another of those old favorites that really could use a nice aftermarket sheet or two and Yellow Wings has certainly produced a fine one.
This sheet is for the Group CO of the 18th Pursuit Group based at what is now Wheeler Field in Hawaii during the 1933-34 time period. This has to be one of the most colorful schemes ever applied to a P-12 with its gold trip and multi-colored fuselage and wing bands. Add that to the yellow upper wing and tail surfaces, and you have a very colorful aircraft.
This sheet provides all the markings, including stencils, to do this aircraft. The sheets also include a considerable amount of additional gold decal in case you need kit. A real bonus are a couple of period photos of this aircraft in a line-up of other 18th PG aircraft. The decals themselves are superbly printed by Microscale. A bit of a note in that generally gold does not take kindly to strong setting solutions so the Microscale system is recommended. It will all make for a very colorful model.
