There are detail sets and then there are DETAIL SETS. This is the latter. Voyager Model provides the most intensive set I've seen in a long time. But since the subject is a very large 1/35 locomotive and tender, that is not really surprising.

This set has 19 full sheets of brass photoetch with several smaller ones along with plastic rod, metal parts and several large and well done resin castings. These castings are for the firebox area in the cab and the driver wheels along with a few other smaller items like the engineer's seat and the steam valve assemblies. Also in with the set is a sheet of wood paneling, an acetate sheet for instrument dials and windows and a bag of scale coal for the tender! I've added a scan of the parts page so you can see what is included as my laying out all the bits wouldn't make as much sense as to how complete this set really is. Each of those large pe frets is about 4 1/2 inches square.

A comprehensive instruction booklet is also included that is top notch so that you can see just where all the bits go. It is superbly done and clearly marked; one of the best I've ever seen. This is not a set for the meek, but if you are one who has to have the best, this is it.
