This set is for the venerable Hobbycraft or Academy T-33A. As with most Hobbycraft kits, this is one area that they need some help and Black Box has done this with their usual skills. It also starts a series of cockpit sets that are designed for multi-place aircraft! The set includes a tub, two Lockheed bang seats, sidewall inserts, instrument panels, control sticks, throttles, rudder pedals and antiglare shields. It also has a complete canopy interior frame.

As with other BB sets, it is imperative that all interior fuselage detail be removed and the walls sanded as smooth and thin as possible. A real key to getting the best out of this and any resin cockpit set is to completely remove the resin casting blocks and to test fit a LOT.

Late Note: it was pointed out to me that there is a problem with the spacing of the front and rear cockpits. To quote a reader "..the back seater would have his knees on his chest and the front seater would be operating the rudder pedals with his toes." Apparently, the center section of the cockpit is too far aft. The designer of this set also did a similar one for KMC and Verlinden, all of which had this glitch. I haven't a clue how one would fix it other than rather radical surgery.
