Probably more resin cockpit sets have been done for the F-16 than any other aircraft around. What with the differences between the different major variant as well as those for the block numbers, I'd say at least a half dozen sets are around. This one is for the F-16D Block 40/50 and is quite complete.

As you can see from the image it is basically the same sort of molding that most resin companies have provided for the last 10 or so years with large pour stubs that in some cases require quite a bit of sanding. Now I know that there are other methods that leave much thinner attachment points and it would be good if everyone would switch over to that method. Not sure what, if any hurdles need to be cleared to do that, but it sure would make using resin much easier.

Didn't really meant to use the review as the basis for an editorial comment, but it came to me and so there it is. Anyway, the parts are very well molded as are all from Black Box. There are the usual large number of parts including the tub, instrument panels/coamings, side walls, HUD, bang seats, seat guides, seat actuators (of which my set only had one) canopy actuator, throttles and control sticks, rudder pedals, little 'thingies' for the top of the seats, a rear deck bulkhead, and, of course, a large cockpit tub. Instructions are superb and not only show the placement of all the bits, but offer color information as well. There is a note stating that they will replace any broken or missing parts so I'll have to send them a letter. They were quite good about replacing the 'warped' RF-4C nose so I'd have to say that their customer service is super.  As usual, you have to remove some bits ad pieces from the kit cockpit area to get all of these parts to fit. Lots of test fitting is recommended to ensure proper fit.
