This particular conversion set is for the Monogram B-29. Those doing a late war bomber, F-13 photo recce bird or any of the Silverplate Atomic Bombers will find this conversion to be especially useful. Try as you might, one just can't do a proper job on the Monogram kit by simply covering over the existing openings for the turrets. The kit just isn't designed for it and often modelers will give up in disgust and frustration.

This set has been specifically designed to eliminate that frustration. One simply has to remove sections of the fuselage as shown in the excellent Cutting Edge instructions. Then replace those sections with the CE supplied resin bits and once the bits are in place, one simply cements the fuselage halves together as normal.

CE also supplies a set of masks for the areas were the turrets were removed. These sections were often very shiny and almost chrome-like in appearance so the masks will allow them to be painted and then masked over when the rest of the fuselage is done.
