After years of not having a decent 1/48 F-4 cockpit easily available, the market is seemingly making up for lost time. This particular set is from Legend Productions and offers all you need for a good cockpit for the Hasegawa 1/48 F-4J. You could probably also use it on the F-4S, though there is a slight difference in the back seat instrument panel. The big benefit of these sets is that you have a proper Navy F-4 back cockpit. The Hasegawa kit cuts corners by providing what is basically an Air Force cockpit. Not good.

A nice touch with Legend sets is that they are not overly full of fiddly parts. Sure, there are some, but that can't be helped. The set itself is well molded and most of the resin casting blocks are in areas that are easy to remove. Thankfully the tub itself doesn't have that full bottom casting block that was such a pain to remove from the KMC and some other sets.

Though no instructions were provided with this preview set, I've been assured that full color instructions will be with those that will be on the market. If you can't find them in your store, they are being distributed by MMD so tell your shop owner.
