Every once in a while, a company will produce a detail set for a kit that is without peer. Such is the case with LionRoar's latest detail set for the Tamiya 1/35 Flakpanzer IV 'Wirbelwind'. This incredible set includes no fewer than six full sheets of etched brass with five smaller sheets. It also includes brass gun barrels and resin breech sections for the 20mm cannon. The detailing is superlative to say the least. Not only that, but the armor sections for the turret are made from thicker, more scale brass. In addition to all this, there are sections of copper and plastic rod which will be needed to complete the set.

As you'd expect, the instructions are most complete, consisting of eight pages of detailed construction notes and drawings. There really is no part of the upper hull and gun section that does not have detail parts. This includes a complete set of fenders in addition to what amounts to practically an all new turret assembly and guns. I think it would be safe to say that there is not a comparable set for this kit and while this isn't really recommended for beginners, if you want the highest level of detail for your Wirbelwind, this is the set for you.
